This is a highly rated wine with a superb taste and aroma of mature red fruits. Full bodied. Incredible value for money.

This wine is from a single vineyard estate in the North-West of the Yecla region, where the clay and limestone soil and higher altitude give wines of great intensity, definition and elegance. Monastrell matures very well in oak and this wine shows a softness simply not found on a young Monastrell. The aromas, taste and strength are there but with a soft end. Could not be better. After 14 months in American and French oak casks, this wine has got everything you could ask for. Mixed with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon this is a first class example of what Monastrell should be. On the nose, you'll find blackberries, raspberries, spices and liquorice. Overall, it's powerful, complex and rich, yet very well balanced, it's full and meaty, with a long, long finish. A must for anyone who loves a red with real oomph.
