Far more common in Latin America than in the 'old country', the Malbec vineyard at Altolandon is only eight years old. This is nevertheless a classic 100% Malbec in every way. Intense aromas of ripe red fruits, plum and dark fruit jams are allied to superior taste and a very long aftertaste. This is a full bodied wine, which has matured in new French oak barrels for 12 months. It's a good match for red meats and game, as you'd expect, but also goes well with hearty stews and mature cheeses.
