Fresh, sharp and dry with aromas of white fruits, this is a master blend of Viura, the fruitier Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc harvested from very old wines with very low yields. In the mouth, superb freshness and an explosion of white fruits give an impression of sweetness. In the glass a pale, very clear yellow with glints of green. Taste of white fruits (melon in particular). Fat, round, strong and with a very long aftertaste. At its best right now and perfect with desserts such as apple tart or fruit salads.
This is a smashing example of Verdejo, the flagship grape of Rueda. The strong aromas of white fruit and fresh herbs are the classic notes of this wine. Very tasty with a slight bitter edge and long finish. Clean, fresh and full of aromas. We really trust this producer and his wine. The winery is, quite simply, one of the best in Rioja. Riscal were the pioneers in this area and, from the very beginning, they have made some of the best whites in Rueda. This one is sharp, fresh and fruity with a predominant grape taste - exactly what you should expect from a white from Rueda. Superb aftertaste. Go for it!
