Navaldar White 2007

Artazuri Rose 2005

A crisp rose from the Grenache, or Garnacha, grape; the only grape for such an undertaking. A terrific wine from one of Spain's outstanding winemakers, it delivers all the taste of summer fruits to give a benchmark rose. Delicate, graceful and full of the soft aromas of raspberries - keep it in the chiller as a refreshing antidote to long hot summer days and a delightful glass to go with white fish grilled outside on the BBQ.

Orchidea 2007

Spanish Sauvignon Blancs often show greater complexity than the archetypal 'cat's pee on a gooseberry bush' associated with this grape, and this one is no exception. On the nose, intense and very complex floral aromas evolve into tropical fruits lime, pineapple, passion fruit. The colour is straw yellow, but look carefully and you'll pick up glints of green. It's fresh and dry with a very pleasant and long aftertaste. Great value for money too, which always helps.

Minotauro Rose 2007

The family-owned Ada winery has only been going a few years, but they're already making a big impact with both connoisseurs and consumers. This example positively pulsates with strawberries and raspberries on the nose, and look out for a touch of mint and citrus too. It's attractive to the eye as well - a beautifully clear, deep pink. It also has well-balanced acidity and a smooth, juicy finish. Lovely on its own, or with fish, shellfish and pasta.

Finca del Mar Chardonnay 2006

100% Chardonnay grape. Aromas of green fruit with the right amount of woody edge. Just right!!

A very correct Chardonnay from a very experienced wine producer. Green fruits and wood in a perfect balance. The kind of wine to enjoy both with food or just for an occasional drink.

Palacio De Bornos Verdejo 2007

This is a delightful dry wine and another perfect example of all that's best in wines made with Verdejo - the 'Queen of Grapes'. It shows an edge of freshness typical of the grape - very fruity, nice and dry. At Palacio de Bornos, all the Verdejo grapes are harvested at night, and from the arrival at the winery until bottling they are handled with great care. This is a Crianza with good fresh aromas, a taste of ripe white fruits and a very long aftertaste. A wine happy to be drunk in its own company!
