Gramona Imperial Brut 2002 - 2003

Cava is of course, the Spanish champagne. It's the product of three perfectly matched grapes: Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Chardonnay - and the mysterious influence of the moderate rainfall, intense sunshine and soft winds of the Penedes region. This Gramona is a really impressive cava with a distinctive aroma, cutting dryness, soft citrus taste with white flowers and hints of lovely white fruits. A beauty - and if you like a dry champagne, you'll love Cava, which many say is actually drier than the classic French wine.

Gran Claustro Brut Nature 2005

Castillo Perelada

Quite simply one of the top Cavas in Spain, this superb wine is a 'brut nature', which, with practically no residual sugars, is drier than brut, and is a masterful blend of Chardonnay, Macabeo, Parellada and Xarello. This combination of the three traditional cava grapes plus the fruitier Chardonnay results in a crisp, well-balanced wine with a medium fizz. Soft aromas of white, ripe fruits with an edge of fennel. Taste of fruits and cream, patisserie and almonds - a superb Cava!
