Mistela Dessert Wine

A very different dessert wine, superb aromas of white flowers and butter. Long and elegant finish.

Mistela is the classic dessert wine in Catalonia and the best Mistela comes from the area of Montsant-Priorat. What we have selected for you is one of the best examples of a white Mistela. Made of a blend of white Grenache and Macabeo, it has a very clean, straw colour and fine aromas of white flowers, butter and patisserie. The aftertaste is quite long and very elegant. Enjoy with desserts, chocolates, cheeses or, let's face it, anything sweet!

Montecristo Dessert Wine

This superior dessert wine has aromas of mature quince fruits and citrics.

Yellow in colour with touches of gold, this Moscatel, with its particular aroma, will be the perfect match for a dessert. It is soft and sweet, the perfect ending to a good meal.

Brunos Blend 2006

Brunos is a positive explosion of fresh aromas and dark red fruits. Intense, bright and lively in colour, it's the result of a stunning mix of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah from vines between 30 and 50 years old. The mix doesn't stop with the choice of grapes. The vines themselves are chosen from different estates at different heights. In the wrong hands, this could be a mongrel of a wine. But Brunos is fresh to the palate, spicy with a well-balanced oak end - a pleasing elegant wine, full of body with a superior ripe berry taste. If you enjoy oaky wines, there's no mix up - this is one not to be missed!

Ardea 2006

This is a Single Estate wine (La Figuera) produced in Montsant - lauded as the new Priorat - from hand-picked Grenache, Syrah and Merlot grapes. Montsant forms a ring around the remote Priorat region, home to some of Spain's classiest (and most expensive) reds and it can only be a matter of time before some of its wines start to price themselves out of reach of us mere mortals!

The blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Merlot is aged in French oak for 15 months creating an elegant taste of ripe red fruits with an oak finish and a spicy edge. Ardea's hearty character is a natural partner to rich, gamey foods like venison and goose liver. And bear in mind, with only 8,500 bottles produced, you'll not be bumping into this wine at your average dinner party.

Domus Pensi 2004

Seriously good stuff! Strong aromas of red fruits with hints of cocoa and mocha. A master blend of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon with the support of Syrah, Merlot and Carignan. Hand picked from seven different Estates, aged over 12 months in new and second use American and French oak and only 4,500 bottles produced. This is a full-bodied wine, very warm with nice tannins and a fantastic jammy taste of blackcurrant. Long end and persistent. A good winter wine if ever there was one - perfect for a Sunday roast on your lap in front of the fire.
