Alzania Crianza 2003

Grenache grapes from decades-old vines create a deep aroma of very ripe red fruits. Meaty, very tasty with almost sweet tannins. Strong aromas with a marked expression of ripe red and black fruits. Full body and soft oak edge. Goes well with hearty foods like braised beef or game stew. A fantastic wine that will not disappoint.

Etim Red 2007

Agricola Falset

From the prestigious region of Montsant, Etim Red is made form the regions superstar varietal Grenache. This rich grape is then blended with Syrah and Carignan to add depth and complexity to the wine. Aged in oak barrels for six months, this is a very fresh, fruity wine with notes of strawberry and raspberry. Very pleasant at the palate. A very lively young red and fantastic value!

Genesi 2006

Vermunver

This wine is a new arrival to the Montsant wine region and the results are impressive. Produced by Vermunver, a small family run Celler, this wine is made from centennial vines, it has a superb taste and an outstanding aftertaste. The vivid red colours of the wine are achieved by means of a carefully controlled ageing process. In the nose the wine is attractively fruity with subtle citric touches, which lift and refresh. Genesis has a well-balanced taste that is superb in all aspects. Good to drink now, but if you can resist the temptation, it's even better to lay down for a couple of years!

Wine maker Joan Sangenis has made a superb job of this red. Full-bodied, with aromas of black fruits and superior finish, this wine is quite an experience. It develops into a fat, round beauty over 14 months in the barrel. Must be experienced with good chewy food, especially red meats and game.
