Loads of fruity aromas, dry, and rich, this is a well-made match of Macabeo - that classic grape of Rioja - and a touch of Chardonnay. All the wonderful aromas of Macabeo but with the touch of leather so typical of the Chardonnay grape. Long finish. A very interesting white and an excellently priced partner to perk up casseroles or grilled fish, risottos, shellfish and salads.

This amazing white has the taste of white fruits with the dry edge of citric fruits. Superbly done, this is Pansa Blanca (or Xarel-lo) at its best - the flagship of this winemaker. The wine has a soft yellow colour, a very pleasant aroma of white fruits and the freshness of mint and ripe lime. The taste is of green apples and peaches. Very fresh. Perfect acidity. Excellent with anything that swims!

La Conreria de Scala Dei

A deep cherry colour, full of ripe red fruit aroma, powerful on the palate and a long-lasting aftertaste. Well aged for 14 months in American oak barrel to give it a slight smoky tang. This is a superior red with all the body that Grenache (85%) has to offer, with added elegance and delicacy from touches of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Aroma of ripe berries and chocolate, sweet tannins. Curl up in front of the wire with a glass of this and a book - or a loved one.

Celler Cal Pla

A full-bodied white with great complexity of aromas. Very different! A deep yellowy gold in colour, the wine is aged in barrels during 6 months from a blend of Grenache, Xarel-lo, Picapoll and Macabeo. The result is mouth-watering. The wine has a complexity of aromas of tropical fruits, white flowers, vanilla, minerals and a smoky edge from the oak. Very long and pleasant after taste. A small production of only 10,000 bottles makes us feel like joining the privileged few and buying a case!
