From the region of Montsant, near Barcelona, this rose is made from a selection of old vine Grenache and Syrah. Following cold fermentation the wine is aged on its lees to produce a deep, intense, full flavored and unique rose. Packed with raspberry and strawberry fruits, this is a fantastic rose not to be missed!
Nothing beats Grenache when it comes to making a great rose. This neat rose has a very pleasant aroma and a taste of red fruits, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry. It's full-bodied but quite fresh with good structure, aromas, superb taste and an even better aftertaste. This wine is so complete that it will go well with any type of food, making it jolly useful, as well as being a very enjoyable casual drink to unwind with.
A very special rose from a very special wine maker. Celler Cal Pla has been making wine since 1774, always under the control of the same family and still operating within the original premises. This small winery makes very good wines, all of them in small productions. Mas d'en Compte 2003 is the result of a very clever blend of Grenache with Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon. Soft in taste but powerful in aromas, this is a grand wine for a special moment. Best with red meats, unbeatable with venison.
