Coto de Hayas 2007

Young, soft and yet perfect to the palate, this wine is the result of a great match of Tempranillo and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon grown in vineyards in the foothills of the Cordillero Iberico, south of Rioja. Everything you could wish for from a young Tempranillo is here. The softness of the colour and aroma, the superb taste, and a luscious reminder of summer fruits with blackberries and raspberries. A slight touch of leather and oak give this superior wine the perfect finishing touch.

Campante Red 2005

Bodegas Campante

This smashing little red is just such good value for money! Originating from the Ribeiro region that sits just inland from Rias Brixas around the Mino river, it is full of fresh, fruity, spicy aromas - you might even pick up a herbal edge too. A really tasty wine with good tannins and good acidity. Good looking in the glass too with an intense cherry-red colour. Pretty much impossible not to like.
