A lovely cherry red colour, with aromas of very ripe fruits, spicy with an oaky edge. Full of flavour and with a long aftertaste, this wine from a small but celebrated winery is worth every penny. It's about two thirds Tempranillo, with Merlot and Grenache making up the balance. And balance is the right word - this offers a perfect blend of red fruits, balsamic, leather and value
This wine is a new arrival to the Montsant wine region and the results are impressive. Produced by Vermunver, a small family run Celler, this wine is made from centennial vines, it has a superb taste and an outstanding aftertaste. The vivid red colours of the wine are achieved by means of a carefully controlled ageing process. In the nose the wine is attractively fruity with subtle citric touches, which lift and refresh. Genesis has a well-balanced taste that is superb in all aspects. Good to drink now, but if you can resist the temptation, it's even better to lay down for a couple of years!
Seriously good stuff! Strong aromas of red fruits with hints of cocoa and mocha. A master blend of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon with the support of Syrah, Merlot and Carignan. Hand picked from seven different Estates, aged over 12 months in new and second use American and French oak and only 4,500 bottles produced. This is a full-bodied wine, very warm with nice tannins and a fantastic jammy taste of blackcurrant. Long end and persistent. A good winter wine if ever there was one - perfect for a Sunday roast on your lap in front of the fire.
